Kristin is a highly experienced freelance editor and writer with over 20 years in the field, specialising in structural editing, copyediting, proofreading, content localisation and content management across a variety of sectors. Her work spans corporate communications, advertising and marketing copy, and academic journals and scholarly publications (with a focus on education, and media and communications).
Kristin’s dedication to higher education began in 2003 at UniSA, where she held a range of roles – from tutor and course writer to research assistant. After relocating to Melbourne, she shifted her focus to prospective student services, university marketing and digital services at RMIT, where she also completed her Grad Dip in Editing and Publishing.
As a Digital Coordinator with an extended role in web management, she helped lead the migration of web content into two content management systems while providing guidance to writers on web policies and university style guides. She also worked as a Content Coordinator, managing digital content and supporting strategic initiatives to engage prospective students.
For 15 years, Kristin balanced her day jobs with an increasingly busy freelance business in writing and editing, making the leap to full-time freelancing in 2018 and fully embracing the lifestyle, with a passion for travel. Known for her meticulous attention to detail and her ability to transform complex ideas into clear, engaging, user-friendly content, Kristin now ensures her work maintains the highest standards, regardless of time zone.
