Edified Energiser Grants - 2019 winners

We’re delighted to announce the 2019 winners.  Each participating person or group will be given $5000 to support the development and growth of their project.  All the projects are focussed on improving the education of a nominated community and fit within Edified’s ethos of wishing to sponsor positive social change through education.

Each project has at least one student or alumni from an Australian or NZ institution. We look forward to seeing how the projects evolve over the coming years.  If you feel inspired by any of the projects and wish to make a contribution to their work, please email us at energiser@edified.com.au and we’ll put you in touch.

The 2019 winners are:

Socius: Virtual Reality Training for People with Autism

People with autism often struggle with everyday life situations such as social interactions and job interviews. Anzel Singh and the team at Socius plan to develop a VR program to help support people with autism on how to better navigate social and professional situations.

Improving Female Education in Ilesa, Nigeria

Many girls and young women in Nigeria don’t attend school during menstruation. Oluwatoyin Oladimeji and her team plan to set up an education scheme and facilities to help tackle the problem at the grassroots level.

Virtual Internship Platform for Regional NSW

Youth unemployment in regional NSW is high.  Many young people find it difficult to get work experience in their local community. Tricia Martin and her team plan to build a platform to allow local business to offer virtual internships to local students.
