In her marketing role, Shweta activates strategic communications, digital marketing, media planning and brand building for Edified and its clients. And as the EET Project Manager, she develops the project plan, monitors the progress and schedule, and manages project promotions.
Shweta came to Australia as an international student to expand her career and pursue a second master’s degree. At Monash University, as an ambassador with the international student engagement team and as a graduate leader and peer mentor for her faculty, she helped guide and shape the international student experience there.
The experience unleashed her interest in international education. Her journey as an international student allowed her to harness deep, personal insights into the needs and wants of students.
Shweta is also a skilled and intuitive media and advertising professional. With nearly 17 years experience in the field, Shweta knows what makes for successful sales and marketing strategies. She’s a natural at both traditional and digital media, and she has her finger on the pulse of customer service and experience, business development and growth strategy.

- Created, delivered and managed Edified’s brand refresh, including its core value proposition, brand pillars, website content and UX, and logo evolution.
- Managed the Enquiry Experience Tracker, Edified’s global mystery shopping program in 2024, including leading the client communications, designing and executing marketing and promotional activities, overseeing the mystery shopping fieldwork, and tracking the project timeline.
- Evaluated every aspect of a private training provider’s marketing and communications, from the online customer experience and metrics, to the interconnected team’s systems and processes – arming the client with stats, insights and impressions needed for a wide-ranging structural refresh.
Before Edified
Shweta worked in the Indian media industry for 15 years before embarking on her journey in Australia. She’s worked with some of the largest media conglomerates in India, such as Bennett, Coleman and Co., Disney Star, Red FM and Radio Mirchi, across television, print, radio and digital. Starting as a management trainee after completing her MBA, Shweta rose through the ranks from a frontline advertising sales executive to chief manager. She’s held leadership positions for eight years, taking the reins in motivated, high-performing teams. Shweta has won accolades and awards for her exceptional revenue growth, highest channel revenue, and most innovative team presentation at Disney Star. Her firm belief in the power of collaboration and in building strong interpersonal relationships also led her to be nominated for an award for teamwork and collaboration during her stint at Disney Star.
After hours
Her relentlessly sunny disposition hides the real truth: Shweta relishes a wicked crime story or film noir masterpiece – the darker, the better. This quest for darkness also extends to her coffee obsession. With a healthy degree of coffee snobbery, combined with her being first in line to evaluate this week’s coolest new cafe or restaurant, Shweta’s well on her way to exploring Melbourne’s vibrant coffee and food culture. There’s a good chance, however, that you’ll bump into her on one of her inner city walks, as she completes her daily goal of 10,000 steps and burns off some of those kilojoules.
