Before Edified

Carly’s career began at Hobsons, where she worked across marketing, recruitment and conversion campaigns, seeing first-hand the hopes, hurdles and decision points that shape a student’s path. That experience lit a spark: a drive to help education providers connect more meaningfully with future students. From there, the Association of MBAs drew her to London. Carly took on the role of Corporate Relations Manager and got to work launching AMBA’s first worldwide employment portal for MBA-accredited graduates - linking talent, employers and alumni networks across continents and creating a sharper global profile for the organisation. Then, as Head of People and Operations at a leading HR consultancy, Carly led culture, recruitment and professional development. She thrived on bringing out the best in teams, and helping individuals grow and prosper.

After hours

From 8-6, Carly's a powerhouse. After hours, she likes to turn the dial anti-clockwise and slow right down. She loves to luxuriate in the pleasures of family, preferably with food and a long table – even better if it's outside – and if a fine wine's involved, she'll likely reach nirvana. Jet-skiing and abseiling aren't really Carly's thing: you're more likely to find her elbow-deep in clay at her pottery wheel. It's a slow, tactile, enveloping hobby that rarely goes to plan, and that's why she likes it.
